While working at New Zealand Post I wrote all of the web content for the stamps and collectibles team. This covered a pretty wide range of topics, from walkways on the island of Niue to the historic huts of Scott and Shackleton in Antarctica.

Some issues had me corresponding with the likes of DOC (the department of conservation) to ensure that all the facts regarding wildlife were correct. Other issues such as that done for Maori language week had me working closely with the Maori language commission to ensure that translations were 100% accurate and ensure that we were using the language in the correct contexts.

Maori language

Only 3 per cent of New Zealanders, fewer than 130,000, can hold a conversation in te reo Maori.

New Zealand surf breaks

New Zealand’s tiny land mass with vast stretches of epic coastline has made it somewhat of a surfer’s paradise - minus the constant warm weather and coconut trees!

Grow your own

A great way to save money, feel good and eat healthy is to grow your own herbs and vegetables.

Christmas 2017

Christmas is the one time of year that friends and family come together to celebrate with lots of food, colourful presents and decoration laden trees.

Maui and the sun

The legends of Maui are stories shared across many Polynesian islands, despite the considerable distance between islands such as Hawaii, Tonga and even New Zealand, the similarities between many of the legends is uncanny.

Sperm whale

The sperm whale Physeter macrocephalus may be armed with a mouthful of sharp, conical teeth, but it is really just a gentle giant – unless you’re a giant squid that is.
